Nass Valley Gateway Ltd. was formed in a joint venture agreement between Mineral Hill Industries Ltd. (MHI) and the GITXAT'IN Development Corporation (GDC). GDC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Village Government of Laxgalts'ap. This milestone agreement is the first time in history of the Nisga'a Nation that an alliance has been formed between a corporate entity of a village government of the Nisga'a Nation and a publicly listed Canadian company. The GDC is a member of the Nisga'a Business Alliance Ltd. (NBA), which comprises the development corporations of the four Nisga'a villages and the Nisga'a Societies of Terrace, Prince Rupert/Port Edward, and Vancouver. The GDC has agreed to transfer its interest in Nass Valley Gateway Ltd. and Gitxat'in MHIND World Link Inc. (GMWL) to the Nisga'a Business Alliance.

NVGL's business focus is the sustainable development of the Nass Bay project in the Nisga'a core lands, which will create long-term jobs for the surrounding villages.
